the moon’s surface must be liquid, so that it can move in the shape of waves, for only in this way can the moon shine as a complete whole. each wave on its own reflects the sun’s light. observing all the waves together produces a shining image of the entire moon. the fact that this brightness is weaker than the brightness of the sun must be because the reflection takes place on a wave-shaped surface.
